Abstract

The article is concerned with the problem of determination an aftermath of recreational impact on forest ecosystems, the recreational transformation of the residual forest communities of Kaluga and Obninsk was assessed in the presented research. The choice of cities is due to the existing difference in approaches to landscaping of the territory, consisting in the fact that large forest tracts in the Obninsk, were left in the city during construction in the state of their natural succession; similar size forest areas in Kaluga, were prone to interrupted succession. It was found that forest plant communities on the territory of the city of Obninsk are more resistant to recreational influences and climatic factors and they have more pronounced stability in different years and periods of the season. Phytocenoses of 0bninsk were susceptible to changes to a lesser extent with the same level of recreational load, as evidenced by the stability of the parameters recorded in this assessment in different seasons. Variability indicators can be used to assess the transformation of forest ecosystems under the influence of recreational impact, as well as for a comparative analysis of the consequences of the same impacts on several ecosystems. The results of the research can serve as a methodological basis for creating an assessment tool for the state of forest ecosystems by examination their transformation under the influence of recreational load.
