The article raised the question of compliance of the multi-storey residential complexes built during the management of Moscow by Luzhkov, historically developed originality of the Moscow architectural and urban environment. The town-planning aspects of the location of the tower complexes of this time, their influence on the general character of the city silhouette are considered. The article analyzes some architectural details of residential buildings of the Luzhkov eclectics period, their accordance to the general character of Moscow residential architecture of both classical style and neoclassical Stalin era. The planning decisions of apartments in multi-storey residential buildings of the Luzhkov eclectics period are analyzed. The features of the social order of the studied historical period and its influence on the architecture of residential complexes of that time are considered.
