Abstract

Features of natural conditions of the territory of Long Khan district of Vietnam are presented. The role of parent rocks composed of magmatic types is described in the process of formation of a favorable microelement composition of soil deposits. Classification of groundwater for use in agricultural development of the territory was carried out. The most favorable in terms of quantity is the Pliocene aquifer, which is characterized by a rate of 5 or more liters per second. Red soils formed on basalts have the greatest distribution in the region. Black soils are also formed on basalts. They are characterized by a high content of phosphorus. This is very favorable for the cultivation of the main culture of the rice region. They are characterized by a favorable microelement composition. The main directions of land use associated with various areas of agriculture are indicated. It was revealed that the dynamics of land use in the period 2010—2017 was insignificant. The structure of land use, focused on introduction of modern technologies and development of industrial cluster of processing of agricultural products is estimated.
