Abstract

The article examines methodological approaches to the organization of the space of the forest-steppe botanical garden. It is recommended to use the system analysis of territories, landscape-ecological principles and socio-economic component to provide opportunities to preserve and restore various levels of ecosystem biodiversity, create an environmentally safe environment, and increase the demand for a garden as a social and cultural object. As the main methodological methods of studying the external environment of the botanical garden, the following are considered: analysis of the balance of borders by contact zones; analysis of the surrounding buildings and infrastructure; detailed analysis of routes for pedestrian and transport routes. To prepare a long-term plan for organizing the space of the Botanical Garden, it is recommended to introduce an ecological and landscape approach that will reduce the risks of degradation of natural ecosystems and loss of collection funds with maximum economic efficiency of using its territory.
