Abstract

The article considers theoretical approaches to the notion of social resources, analyzes their properties, establishes the relationship between social activity and social resources of local communities. The place of social activity in the system of concepts about the resources of the social and economic development of the territories has been determined. A system of indicators is proposed for analyzing the potential and real social activity of the population. The indicators are divided into two groups, the first of which is related to the assessment of the population's activity potential, the second is designed to assess the real social activity of the population. In the first block, special attention is paid to the educational characteristics of the population, the possibility of spending free time and activity in social networks. In the second block — the activities of non-profit associations and small and medium-sized businesses. According to the developed system of indicators, a comparative study of the social activity of the population of the middle cities of the Tver region was carried out.
