Abstract

The methodology for estimating and predicting of extremely high local air pollution of cities in the conditions of intercontinental intermountane hollows is proposed. The model region is identified — Trans- baikal region and its capital — Chita, which is made with the purpose of studying of some geographic and technical causes of extremely high local pollution of the atmospheric air of cities in the conditions of intercontinental intermountane hollows. The analysis of data on average annual and maximum concentrations, excess of MPC for 3 cities and 33 municipal districts for the period of 2013—2015 years is made. The estimation of demographic load and ecological safety of Chita air at various altitude marks is carried out. “Methodology for calculating of the quality of city's air environment with a hollow factor of a territorial organization” is developed.
