Abstract

This paper is dedicated to the estimation of the ecological condition in Dubnatown, Moscow Region, that belongs to the category of medium-sized towns and enterprises located in the town characterized by small production volumes. For the first time a comprehensive assessment of the environment condition based on the data of soil, snowcoverand bioindication data resulting from areal survey have been carried out in the territory of Dubna. The estimation of ecological state determined on the basis of the total indicator of concentration (Zc) for soil and snow coverand located background values designated for the investigated area. This approach allowed specifying areas with different pollution level and determining principal associations of pollutants. The assessment оf environment condition via bioindication has been carried out on the basis of fluctuating asymmetry index. Сross-spectrum data analysis revealed ecologically unfavorable zones, which are located in the areas of permanent pollution sources and confined to industrial zones and roads.
