Abstract

Тhе article describes the problems related to environmental pollution of soil in the territory of Western Ilmen-hillock area of the Astrakhan region under the influence of anthropogenic factors. The investigations were carried out in the territory of Narimanov and Ikryaninsky districts in order to identify the current state of soils and assess the degree of their chemical contamination. The degree of contamination of surface-distributing substances — oil products, heavy metals: has been revealed as a result of the conducted studies. The results of investigations of soil cover contamination of the study areas in Narimanov and Ikryaninsky districts made it possible to determine the level of concentration of oil products and heavy metals in the soil, as well as the soil contamination category of the study areas; the modern ecological condition of soils of the study areas is revealed.
