Abstract

The author offers his assessment of the impact produced by the environmental factors on the construction and operation of the whitewater rafting centre in Bogorodskoe village (Sergievo-Posadsky district, the Moscow region). The author analyses negative environmental impacts, produced by various production processes, including noise, air pollution, and construction waste generation and demonstrates the adverse effects of air pollutants. The author assesses the main sources of the wastewater pollution, and he proves that any wastewater flows should bypass sports facilities, boatsheds and other structures. Wastewater pipelines should be integrated into the operating outdoor sewerage and wastewater treatment facilities operated by LABKO. The findings of this research have proven the need for versatile types of ecological monitoring actions to be implemented in the process of the whitewater rafting centre operation.
