Abstract

This article considers the problems of improving the quality of the urban environment by improving the parameters of residential energy efficiency. Also it discusses various approaches to the definition of energy-efficient building, the concept of eco-friendly homes and its relation to energy-efficient homes. The article demonstrates the necessity of improving of residential energy efficiency and describes the possible options for technological solutions to this problem, such as the reduction of heat losses, the using of alternative energy sources and a special approach to the redistribution of energy in the house. Besides, it analyses the modern construction experience, the prerequisites and prospects for development of residential energy efficiency.
