Abstract

The article discusses some problems related to ecological safety of water bodies by the influence of intensive anthropogenic impact. The reasons for the degradation of the ecological state of urban water bodies are established, is specified the important role of the polluted surface runoff from surrounding areas. It was determined relationship between ecological state of water bodies with the surrounding area, the quality of water in it and the level of contamination of sediments. Is proved the comprehensive approach to increase the ecological safety, aimed reducing the pollution of surface runoff, treatment of industrial and domestic wastewater and removal from contaminated sediments.

Keywords

Water objects, pollution of water objects, riverbed pollution, clearing of the rivers, ecological safety.
