Abstract

This article represents applying vector fishnet GIS analysis in urban ecological assessment. Author pro-poses a formula for calculation of cell (tile) characteristics, list of characteristics and other aspects of fishnet GIS analysis. Also author provides the ecological assessment of Lipetsk with summary map. This urban ecological assessment is used ecological data infrastructure which model was built by the author. Ecological data infrastructure joins cadastral data and science research in one array. One of key feature of this assessment is quick possibility to make assessment of changes in ecological state of city when we have a different ways of city development. Also assessment based on 100-point grade system which opens opportunity to extend numbers of parameters that depends of availability of information.
